Chicago, IL – IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law has selected Peck Ritchey, LLC Managing Partner Kerry R. Peck as one of their 125 Alumni of Distinction. Four hundred innovative and successful alumni from the late 1800s through the 21st century were nominated for this honor. A committee of IIT Chicago-Kent alumni, faculty, staff, and students narrowed the list to 125.
A reception and dinner honoring the 125 Alumni of Distinction will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Renaissance Chicago; the reception begins at 5:30 pm with dinner at 7 pm.
“I am thrilled to be recognized among such an esteemed and diverse group of individuals,” said Kerry Peck. “I’m proud that my work as a Chicago litigation attorney has been recognized by my peers.”
Kerry Peck concentrates his practice on trust and estate litigation, estate planning and administration, probate, guardianship, and elder law. He is the past president of the 22,000-lawyer Chicago Bar Association. Peck is the co-author of the book Alzheimer’s and the Law, which is aimed at helping readers better understand the legal implications that an Alzheimer’s diagnosis has over an individual’s future. Additional contributors to the book include Rick Law, Brandon Peck and Diana Law. The book’s Forward was written by acclaimed author Scott Turow.
Peck is currently a member of the American Bar Association’s Commission on Law and Aging. He is chair of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section Council. Kerry is also a member of Board of Directors for the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Illinois Chapter.
